An 8×10 is large enough for a useful center aisle plus meaningful beds or benches, but it is still compact enough that door clearance, work space and vertical geometry can consume a significant part of the plan.

Why 8 feet of width is a useful threshold

An 8-foot nominal width can accommodate a practical center aisle while leaving roughly 30–36 inches of growing depth on both sides. That makes mixed layouts easier than in a 6-foot-wide greenhouse. With a 24-inch aisle, two 36-inch side beds use about 60 square feet of a nominal 80-square-foot footprint; a 30-inch aisle leaves about 55 square feet.

Do not automatically use the full 36-inch depth if the greenhouse sidewall slopes inward sharply. The floor may measure eight feet wide while shelves or tall plants lose usable width higher up.

There may be no exact “8×10” in the model you like

Current premium examples make this clear. Exaco publishes the Riga 3s at 7'8" × 10'6" and the Janssens Junior Victorian 23 at 7'9" × 10'2". Both live naturally in an 8×10 shopping comparison even though neither is exactly 96 by 120 inches. That is why site preparation should wait until you select the actual model.
