Information you provide directly

Public GreenhouseMatch pages do not require registration. If you contact GreenhouseMatch by email, the message will naturally include the email address you use and any information you choose to include. That information may be used to respond to you, investigate a reported correction, maintain a record of a source issue or handle a legitimate site-related inquiry.

Please do not send passwords, payment-card details, government identifiers, medical information or other sensitive personal information. GreenhouseMatch does not need that information to research greenhouse products or correct site content.

Calculator and finder inputs

GreenhouseMatch tools may ask for project information such as greenhouse dimensions, crop counts, growing goals, temperature assumptions, budget ranges or equipment preferences. Those inputs are intended to be processed in the browser to produce a result. The site's design goal is not to require personally identifying information in order to use a calculator or finder.

Analytics events are intended to describe tool usage at a general level rather than transmit free-text messages, email addresses or sensitive project information. GreenhouseMatch does not require personally identifying information for normal calculator or finder use.

Google Analytics configuration

GreenhouseMatch may use Google Analytics to understand aggregate use of the site. The current site template loads Google Analytics with analytics consent denied by default. After a user interacts with the page, the site may update analytics consent so aggregate usage events can be measured.

The current configuration disables Google Signals and ad-personalization signals, requests IP anonymization and sets Google Analytics client storage to none. GreenhouseMatch uses this restrained setup to understand which pages and tools are useful without building an advertising profile through this site.

Commercial-link measurement

GreenhouseMatch routes commercial links through paths beginning with /go/. When you click one of those links, the site may send an analytics event describing the commercial slug, destination partner/category and visible link text. This helps measure whether a shopping resource is useful and whether a link is being used.

GreenhouseMatch does not receive your payment-card number, merchant account password or full checkout details through this click event. If you continue to a retailer or marketplace, that third party handles its own transaction and privacy practices.

Hosting, security and technical request data

GreenhouseMatch is served through web-hosting and network infrastructure. Like other websites, hosting, security and network providers may process technical request information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as IP address, browser/user-agent information, requested URL, timestamps and security-related request characteristics. Those providers operate under their own terms and privacy practices.

Third-party websites

GreenhouseMatch links to manufacturers, retailers, marketplaces, technical references and other third parties. Once you leave GreenhouseMatch, the destination site's privacy policy and tracking practices apply. A GreenhouseMatch affiliate relationship does not give GreenhouseMatch control over a merchant's checkout, cookies, account system or marketing practices.

Affiliate programs

Some merchants or affiliate networks may attribute a purchase or referral after you follow a commercial link. The destination merchant/network determines the attribution technology and data it uses on its own services. GreenhouseMatch may receive reporting such as clicks, orders, commission amounts or aggregate conversion information from an affiliate partner, but those reports are governed by the partner's system and agreement.

Children's privacy

GreenhouseMatch is a general information and shopping-planning site and is not designed to collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent personal information directly to GreenhouseMatch, please use the Contact page so the issue can be reviewed.

Retention and deletion requests

Email correspondence and correction records may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, document a content correction, prevent abuse or maintain normal business records. If you have contacted GreenhouseMatch directly and want to ask about personal information contained in that correspondence, use the same email channel identified on the Contact page.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when the site's tools, analytics, hosting or commercial relationships change. Material changes should be reflected on this page, together with an updated revision date.
